A natural and inspiring leader, you will bring restaurant management experience gained within a high-calibre hospitality environment, together with an instinctive understanding of exceptional service. Immaculately presented and highly professional, you will lead by example, inspiring your team to uphold the same exacting standards.

Purpose of the Role

To lead the delivery of exceptional restaurant and food and beverage service throughout the hotel, working closely with the Head Chef and Food & Beverage Manager to ensure established company procedures and five-red-star standards are consistently maintained.

You will develop strong working relationships with colleagues and build genuine rapport with our guests, creating memorable experiences and delivering a level of service that consistently exceeds expectations.

About You

You will be motivated, highly organised and committed to the highest standards of personal presentation and professionalism. An engaging and confident leader, you will have the ability to inspire and motivate your team while communicating naturally and effectively with guests and colleagues at all levels.

You will have exceptional attention to detail, sound judgement and the confidence to manage challenging situations with discretion and professionalism. Above all, you will bring a positive, flexible and hands-on approach to the day-to-day management of the hotel’s food and beverage operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the restaurants and food and beverage service throughout the hotel, working closely with the Head Chef and Food & Beverage Manager to consistently deliver five-red-star standards.
  • Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day restaurant operation, ensuring all areas are impeccably prepared, presented and maintained.
  • Lead by example in all aspects of service, grooming and professional presentation, setting clear expectations for the restaurant team.
  • Lead, motivate and develop the restaurant team, fostering a positive culture, strong team spirit and cohesive, efficient working relationships.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of all food and beverage roles and responsibilities, particularly within the restaurant, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, cost-effectiveness and service standards.
  • Develop excellent relationships with guests, anticipating their needs and expectations and creating personalised, memorable experiences.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the hotel’s menus, packages, incentives, services and facilities, including the composition, presentation and service of dishes within the restaurants.
  • Confidently promote the hotel’s services and facilities, identifying opportunities to enhance the guest experience, maximise sales and generate future business.
  • Handle guest feedback and complaints with confidence, empathy and discretion, seeking effective resolutions that protect guest satisfaction and the reputation of the hotel.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of budgets, forecasts and profit and loss, effectively managing fixed and variable costs, including payroll, within your areas of responsibility.
  • Maintain commercial awareness and understand how restaurant performance contributes to the hotel’s profitability and the wider success of the business.
  • Actively contribute to the maximisation of food and beverage and hotel revenue.
  • Ensure ordering, stock control and stocktaking procedures are followed accurately and completed within required timescales.
