Job summary

Away Resorts is seeking a Restaurant/Bar Manager at Newquay Bay Resort in Cornwall. You will lead the bar and restaurant teams, manage service, and drive guest satisfaction while delivering profitable operations in a busy holiday park setting.

The role focuses on developing a high‑performing team, controlling costs, and delivering memorable guest experiences across food, beverage and retail outlets. Expect weekend work and a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in a similar role.
• Lead, train and motivate a team to deliver delight.
• Oversee bar and restaurant operations and service.
• Supervise the bingo experience.
• Drive sales growth with profitability.
• Carry out stock takes and ordering as needed.
• Ensure health and safety regulations are followed.
• Contribute to projects and park development.
• Develop and manage budgets for park resources.
• Identify and maximise business opportunities.
• Monitor cost controls including wage rostering.
• Develop and coach Food & Beverage and Retail teams.
• Deliver exceptional guest experiences and liaise with owners and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the smooth running of the bar and restaurant and supervise service.
• Develop budgets for resources to hit annual profit targets in F&B, arcade and gaming.
• Lead and develop the F&B and Retail teams and promote the Holiday Heroes culture.
• Drive sales while maintaining profitability and standards.

• Collaborate on park projects and manage stakeholder relationships.

We are looking for a high calibre Food & Beverage Manager that can create an environment where a team thrive, and our guests can sit back and take away memories that will last a lifetime; whilst still having an analytical mind that can process KPI's and drive the right behaviour though standards and leading the way.

You will need to develop an in-depth understanding of the commercial aspects of all our operational businesses on the park, so you will need to:

Skills, experience and qualities you’ll need:

• Have a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role.
• Manage, lead, train and motivate a team to deliver delight.
• Oversee the smooth running of the bar and restaurant and Barn, the preparation for service, as well as overseeing service and supervising the after-service duties.
• Supervising the bingo experience
• Maximise sales whilst driving profitable growth with care and flair!
• Carryout regular stock takes and order, as necessary.
• Handle deliveries and ensure health and safety regulations are always enforced.
• Oversee and contribute to any project work as part of the upcoming development.
• The preparation and management of budgets for resources on the park, to deliver annual profit targets in food and beverage, arcade and gaming.
• Identifying and maximising business opportunities
• Monitoring and maintaining cost controls to create efficiencies across the business, including wage rostering
• Managing the development, coaching and performance of the Food & Beverage and Retail teams, promoting the Holiday Heroes culture that makes our holiday park a great place to work.
• Helping to deliver the highest level of guest experience to all our guests.
• Being a professional interface with the owners and stakeholders of the business and with external suppliers and other important contacts
