Job summary

Sandy Balls Holiday Village is hiring a Bar Team Member to join our busy UK resort team. This seasonal role pays £12.71 per hour and is paid weekly, with variable hours to cover the holiday periods.

You’ll welcome guests, take orders, serve at the bar and ensure areas are clean and well-stocked. Applicants must be 18+ and ready to work across bank holidays while delivering great guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
• Have customer service experience and skills.
• Relish the fast pace of a busy bar or restaurant.
• Be proactive and able to work in a team.
• Be a people person; ensure guests are happy.
• Team experience is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a friendly welcome.
• Take food and drink orders and ensure accuracy.
• Serve behind the bar and provide table service.
• Keep the area clean, tidy and well-stocked.
• Sanitise areas in line with protocols.
• Be flexible and help where needed, including bank holidays.

What we need in a nutshell

We need someone who understands that food and drink are central to a happy holiday. Someone who can look after our guests’ every whim when they eat, drink and relax in our bars and restaurants. Please note that applicants must be 18 years or older to be eligible for this role.

Who are we?

Sandy Balls Holiday Village is a world away from your day to day, with more trees than you can… well, shake a stick at. We have resident alpacas, a bush-craft school and forest laser tag, along with the usual holiday heroes of cycling and swimming. What you’ll be doing

We’re not your average holiday company. Our guests come to our UK resorts to experience a world away from the day-to-day and our job is to surprise and delight them at every turn.

This includes:

• Meeting and greetings guests with a friendly welcome
• Taking food orders and making sure everyone gets what they asked for
• Serving behind the bar and delivering excellent table service
• Keeping your area clean, tidy and well-stocked
• Ensuring areas are sanitised in line with protocols
• Generally making sure everybody is having a great time

And who knows what else you may find yourself doing. If you’re happy to help even when it’s ‘not your job,’ you’re our sort of person. One more thing…holidays happenat holiday times, so you will need to work your magic on bank holidays too.

Skills, experience and qualities you’ll need

If you can demonstrate the following, we’d love to hear from you:

• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for this role.

• Be someone who does things without needing to be asked
• Be a people person; easy to talk to and never happy until your guests are
