Job summary

Away Resorts is seeking a Food & Beverage Team Leader for Mill Rythe Coastal Retreat on Hayling Island. This seasonal contract involves leading shifts in our busy on-site restaurant The Green Room, ensuring smooth service and guest satisfaction.

You will manage rotas, drive revenue, uphold hygiene standards, and coach a team of F&B assistants to deliver consistent hospitality, even at peak times. Bank holidays and weekends are required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a fast-paced and busy F&B environment.
• Experience of driving revenue.
• A problem solver who can manage difficult situations well.
• A champion in delivering excellence in customer service with evidence of previous successes.
• Preferably a level 2 hygiene certificate but training on site can be provided.

Responsibilities

• Being at the heart of the action, serving customers, clearing tables, solving problems and leading your team.
• Managing rotas so that we always have the right level of cover.
• Identifying and sharing best practice with team, including upselling effectively.
• Helping to control margins by working with FOH and kitchen teams to manage stock, wastage and costs.
• Dealing with customer complaints and managing performance within your team.
• Helping to build a motivated team of F&B assistants who take pride in delivering delight.

Food & Beverage Team Leader

Hours of work:

Seasonal contract- Variable hours

Pay:

£13.60 per hour - Paid weekly!

What we need in a nutshell

We're looking for a team leader who loves being where the action is. You'll be making everything run smoothly, leading shifts and getting stuck in yourself in our busy onsite new restaurant The Green Room, making sure our guests want to come back again and again.

Who are we?

At Away Resorts we're a growing company, shaking up the Great British holiday. Our Mill Rythe resort, set on a peaceful estuary, has undergone a stunning £10m refurbishment with our stunning cocktail bar, The Missing Squirrel! As well as our incredible new restaurant The Green Room.

What you'll be doing

Leading by example, you'll be motivating a team of F&B assistants to provide excellent service to customers in our busy bar and restaurant. This includes:

• Being at the heart of the action, serving customers, clearing tables, solving problems and leading your team
• Managing rotas so that we always have the right level of cover
• Identifying and sharing best practice with team, including upselling effectively
• Helping to control margins by working alongside the FOH and kitchen teams to control food stock, minimise wastage and manage cleaning and other costs sensibly
• Dealing with customer complaints and managing performance within your team
• Helping to build a motivated team of F&B assistants who take pride in delivering delight, even when we're exceptionally busy

One more thing...holidays happen at holiday times, so you'll need to work your magic on bank holidays and weekends too.

Skills, experience and qualities you'll need

If you feel you have the ability to lead a team with confidence in a busy environment and you can tick the following boxes, we want to hear from you:

• Previous experience in a fast-paced and busy F&B environment
• Experience of driving revenue - we can help you with training
• A problem solver who can manage difficult situations well
• A champion in delivering excellence in customer service with evidence of previous successes
• Preferably a level 2 hygiene certificate but this is not a deal breaker as we can do this training on site

It's the icing on the cake if you have specific experience on a holiday park, but don't worry if you don't, we provide lots of training.
