Job summary

Vision for Education Ltd seeks a dedicated Respite and Reintegration Teaching Assistant to join its SEND and pastoral team in Outer London, supporting students through reintegration and mentoring as they return to mainstream education.

The role focuses on leading the Respite and Reintegration provision and providing classroom support, dropout prevention, and personalised intervention programmes to help pupils achieve positive outcomes.

Qualifications

• Have experience working with young people, particularly those with SEND, autism or additional learning needs (desirable).
• Be confident supporting students both in the classroom and through targeted interventions.
• Demonstrate excellent behaviour management and pastoral skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operation of the school's Respite and Reintegration provision.
• Support students returning from internal exclusion through mentoring and personalised intervention programmes.
• Deliver pastoral support and promote positive behaviour, attendance and engagement.
• Work closely with Heads of Year, SEND staff, senior leaders and external agencies to support student progress.
• Maintain accurate student records and contribute to monitoring outcomes.
• Support students within mainstream lessons, small group interventions and specialist SEND provision.
• Help teachers adapt learning and encourage students to develop confidence, independence and resilience.
• Build positive relationships with students, families and colleagues to support successful reintegration.
