Your new role, what's involved?
To manage the implementation and embedment of a resource management vision and strategy for the Structures Business Unit to optimize resource allocation and deliver capability growth and development in accordance with business ambitions. Reporting to the Strategic Business Unit Operations Director, the key responsibilities will include:
- Develop a deep understanding of our teams and the individual people within them.
- Lead efforts to enhance our culture of project ownership and personal accountability for managing workload.
- Deliver short-term resource optimization benefits, balancing financial targets, People-First decisions, and client experience.
- Support the resource management vision of resource agility for the benefit of our people, clients, and business.
- Build collaborative relationships with key stakeholders, including Executive Managing Directors, Heads of Discipline, Senior Ops Directors, HR, and Recruitment.
- Implement resource leveling across the unit by monitoring supply and demand, optimizing the resourcing model in line with financial plans and client needs.
- Provide insights on workload, skills, and capabilities to senior leadership, contributing to strategic planning and resource decisions.
- Maintain relationships with leadership across the business unit.
- Act as a trusted advisor for resource management and future capability development.
- Support team development through engaging projects and cross-department collaboration.
- Coordinate with HR, L&D, Recruitment, Finance, and Operations to align plans with departmental priorities.
- Create resourcing initiatives through analysis and support resource management vision.
- Engage proactively in resource demand profiling for new client wins and bid support.
- Assist in mobilizing major projects and programs with talent assessment, succession planning, and resource forecasting.
