Job summary

Care & Support Services is launching a new solo placement home in Burton-on-Trent to provide safety, structure, and therapeutic support for one young person who requires consistent, stable care from a small and trusted team.

The role involves delivering practical and emotional support, collaborating with the Deputy and Registered Manager, and maintaining a calm, trauma-informed approach to daily routines and care planning.

Qualifications

Experience supporting young people with emotional or behavioural needs.
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or willingness to enrol within 6 months)
Driver’s license (or willing to obtain within 6 months)
Calm, consistent, and emotionally resilient approach
Willingness to work sleep-ins and support a solo placement setting
Understanding of trauma-informed care and safeguarding principles

Responsibilities

Provide practical and emotional care in line with the child’s individual plan.
Support with education, life skills, and emotional regulation.
Maintain daily structure, boundaries, and positive routines.
Work closely with the Deputy and Registered Manager to ensure consistent care delivery.
Manage risk and follow safeguarding policies at all times.
Contribute to a nurturing home environment rooted in trust, patience, and predictability.
