Job summary

Care and Support Services Ltd is seeking a Senior Support Worker to join our Burton-on-Trent placement home. You will lead shifts, support the management team, and mentor staff to deliver trauma-informed care with consistency and empathy.

You will build trusted relationships with the young person, help implement care plans, and act as a calm role model during crises, ensuring safeguarding and regulatory standards are met.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare is required.
• Experience in a children's residential home, ideally with EBD or high-risk behaviours.
• Leadership skills and experience leading shifts or mentoring junior staff.
• Trauma-informed approach with a calm, resilient personality; sound safeguarding and regulatory understanding.
