Job summary

Staffordshire County Council is seeking a dedicated professional to join our residential home in Tamworth, providing emotional and practical support to young people with complex needs. The role involves shift work, including evenings and weekends, with supervision and ongoing training to develop practice.

You will join a supportive team guided by experienced management, with opportunities for funded qualifications and access to regular reflective spaces to support well-being and professional

Qualifications

• Experience in residential care for children with complex needs.
• Current UK driving licence preferred.
• NVQ Level 3/4 in Children’s Residential Care desirable or willingness to work towards.

Responsibilities

• Work within the children's home, supporting a young person with complex emotional, behavioural needs.
• Work on a shift/rota basis including evenings and weekends.
• Work as part of a team providing emotional and practical care and support.
• Engage in 1:1 sessions addressing emotions and behaviours, coordinating with management and other professionals.
• Engage in regular supervision sessions.
• Complete mandatory training and additional training to enhance practice and development.
