Job summary

PeopleRe is hiring a Residential Support Worker in Colchester. You will work full-time, on a residential rota that includes evenings, weekends and sleep-ins, supporting young people with daily activities, education and emotional needs.

Applicants should be 22+, hold a full UK driving licence and be prepared to undertake Level 3 Residential Childcare training. Salary starts at £29,500 with £60 per sleep-in, with typical monthly sleep-ins adding extra pay.

Qualifications

• Be aged 22 or over.
• Hold a full UK driving licence.
• Not require visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• Able to work a residential rota including evenings, weekends and sleep-ins.
• Willing to complete a Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare.

Responsibilities

• Support young people in daily activities, routines and education.
• Maintain boundaries and communicate clearly to de-escalate challenging situations.
• Complete daily records and reports with accuracy.
• Participate in sleep-ins as part of the rota and provide calm, consistent care.
