Job summary

Esland are seeking a dedicated residential support worker to join our Weldon team. You will help deliver high-quality care to children and young people in our residential homes, supporting their emotional and educational development.

This role requires flexibility to work shifts, a full UK driving licence, and the commitment to safeguarding. We offer training, pension, generous leave, and opportunities for career progression.

Qualifications

Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People (or equivalent) desired
Experience in a children''s home setting desired
Full UK driving licence essential
Over 21 years old required
Willingness to work 24–48 hour shift patterns

Responsibilities

Contribute to care plans and risk assessments and their review/implementation
Form relationships with young people and families and external agencies
Keep the home clean and maintain rota and cleanliness
Maintain high-quality records under supervision
Promote residential care to professional standards (Ofsted)
Support educational and social development via Individual Education Programs
Meet emotional and physical needs and maximise development opportunities
