Job summary

Hampshire County Council is recruiting a Support Worker (Residential Service Officer) at Orchard Close, Hayling Island, to provide personalised care for adults with learning and/or physical disabilities during short stay breaks.

You will follow a 4-week flexible shift pattern, including every other weekend and early/late/sleep-in shifts with enhancements. A comprehensive induction and ongoing training will help you grow within our friendly, supportive team.

Qualifications

• Understanding the needs of the client group and experience helping independent living.
• Patience, empathy and compassion in care settings.
• Strong collaborative skills to work with families, carers and professionals.
• Excellent communication with diverse clients and colleagues.
• Sound IT skills to record information accurately.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Exceptional Care: provide physical and emotional care, ensuring safety and comfort for service users.
• Collaborate and Innovate: work with families, carers, and professionals to create personalised care plans.
• Communicate and Document: keep open communication and detailed progress records as shift leader.
