Job summary

Hampshire County Council is seeking a dedicated Support Worker (Residential Service Officer) to provide personalised care at Orchard Close, a respite service for adults with learning and physical disabilities and other needs in North Hayling.

You will work in a 24/7 service, following a four-week flexible shift pattern with weekend work and occasional sleep-in shifts. An extensive induction and ongoing training will equip you to deliver high-quality, compassionate support.

Qualifications

• Understanding of the needs of the client group and ability to help them achieve independence.
• Demonstrate core values of patience, empathy and compassion.
• Strong teamwork and collaborative skills.
• Excellent communication with clients, families, carers and professionals.
• Good IT skills and accurate record-keeping.
