Job summary

Hampshire County Council is recruiting a Support Worker for Orchard Close in Hayling Island. You’ll provide personalised support to adults with learning disabilities and/or physical disabilities, helping them take part in meaningful activities during their stay in a safe, comfortable environment.

This role includes comprehensive induction and training, a 37-hour week, and a 4-week flexible shift pattern with weekend work and bank holidays paid enhancements.

Qualifications

• Experience working with adults with learning disabilities and/or physical disabilities to support independence.
• Patience, empathy and compassion.
• Team player with strong collaboration skills.
• Excellent communication skills with diverse groups including clients and families.
• Sound IT skills and ability to record information.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Exceptional Care: provide physical and emotional care, observe and respond to health and wellbeing needs.
• Collaborate and Innovate: work with families, carers and professionals to create personalised care plans.
• Communicate and Document: maintain detailed records and reports for consistency of care.
