Job summary

Hampshire County Council in Hayling Island is seeking a dedicated Support Worker (Adults) to provide personalised care at Orchard Close, our respite service for adults with learning and physical disabilities. The role focuses on enabling participation in meaningful activities during short breaks in a safe, supportive environment.

You will join a friendly team, receive a comprehensive induction and training, and help deliver high-quality care 24/7 with a flexible shift pattern and weekend

• Understanding the needs of the client group and experience helping them achieve independence.
• Core values of patience, empathy and compassion.
• Team player with strong collaboration skills.
• Excellent communication to build positive relationships with clients, families and professionals.
• Sound IT skills and ability to accurately record information.
