Job summary

West Street is a residential service in Havant providing personalised support for adults with learning disabilities. As a Support Worker (Residential Services Officer), you will deliver high-quality care to help service users achieve independence and a safe life.

You will join a warm team, receive a comprehensive induction and training, and work a 4-week flexible shift pattern including every other weekend and sleep-in shifts.

Qualifications

• An understanding of the needs of the client group and have experience working with them to achieve independence.
• Core values of patience, empathy and compassion.
• A team player with strong collaborative skills.
• Excellent communication skills for building positive relationships with a diverse range of people, including clients, their families, carers, professionals and colleagues.
• Sound IT skills and able to accurately record information.

Responsibilities

• Deliver physical and emotional care to service users, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Collaborate with families, carers, colleagues and professionals to create care plans.
• As shift leader, maintain detailed records and ensure clear communication.
