Job summary

Bright Young Futures ltd is seeking Residential Support Workers to care for children and young people in an EBD residential home. You will provide day-to-day support, help build routines, and work as a key worker to support individual care plans.

The role emphasises safeguarding, education support, and collaboration with families and professionals to promote wellbeing and independence for young people.

Key Responsibilities

Essential Requirements

• Minimum 6 months' experience working with children or young people in a care, education, support, youth work, or similar setting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to advocate for young people and promote their wellbeing.
• Professional, reliable, and committed to safeguarding.
• Ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
• Passion for helping young people achieve positive outcomes.

Desirable Experience

• Previous experience in residential childcare (highly advantageous).
• Understanding of behaviour support strategies.
• Experience working effectively as part of a team.
• Strong emotional resilience and integrity.
• Relevant Health & Social Care or Residential Childcare qualifications.
