Job summary

Medical Update Online is seeking a compassionate Residential Support Worker to provide day-to-day care and therapeutic support for children in small homes. You will help young people build confidence, resilience, and life skills in a safe, nurturing environment, guided by a team of experienced professionals.

Applicants should have experience with complex needs, strong safeguarding values, and a willingness to work varied shifts including sleep-ins.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting children with complex needs in residential care or similar settings.
  • Ability to build positive relationships and calmly manage challenging behaviours.
  • Strong safeguarding ethos and commitment to welfare.
  • Excellent communication skills and teamwork in a care setting.
  • Motivation to learn, develop, and progress within residential childcare.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins.
  • Full driving licence is required.

The Role

As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a key role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stable environment for children and young people.
