Job summary

ionic Recruitment is seeking compassionate Residential Support Workers to join a specialist children's home in Leyland, supporting young people aged 6 to 16 with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).

This full-time, permanent role involves a residential rota including sleep-ins. You will apply trauma-informed approaches, build positive relationships, and help young people develop emotional regulation, routines, and healthy coping strategies.

Qualifications

• Experience with children/young people in residential care, education, youth work, or similar settings.
• Experience supporting children with EBD, SEMH needs, trauma, or challenging behaviours.
• Demonstrates resilience, emotional intelligence, and ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Understands trauma-informed and child-centred approaches to care.
• Willingness to work towards a Level 3 qualification if not held.

Responsibilities
