The role requires patience, resilience, and flexibility, including evenings, weekends, sleep-ins, and bank holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day care and support to children and young people living in our home.
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with children, their families, and professionals.
  • Safeguard and promote the welfare of all children and young people.
  • Support children with personal care while ensuring dignity and respect.

Key Responsibilities

As a Support Worker, you will:

  • Provide day-to-day care and support to children and young people living in our home.
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with children, their families, and professionals involved in their life
  • Safeguard and promote the welfare of all children and young people.
  • Support children with personal care where required, ensuring dignity and respect at all times.
  • Assist children in accessing education, health services, community activities, and positive experiences.
  • Celebrate diversity and achievements
  • Promote emotional wellbeing and life skills development
  • Implement care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour support strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records, daily logs, and incident reports.
  • Work collaboratively with social workers, healthcare professionals, schools, and other agencies.
  • Participate in team meetings, training, and supervision sessions.
