Job summary

Ignite Talent Group is seeking an experienced Site Setting Out Engineer for a leading housebuilder on multiple residential developments across Yorkshire, including Leeds.

You will be responsible for setting out, surveying, and supporting foundations, drainage, roads, and associated infrastructure, using robotic total stations, EDM and GPS/GNSS, with a focus on accuracy and compliance with drawings and standards.

Qualifications

• Experience as Site Engineer or Setting Out Engineer in residential construction.
• Engineering qualification in Civil/Structural Engineering with CSCS card.
• Strong setting out and surveying experience with robotic total stations and GPS/GNSS.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and LSS or similar modelling software.
• Ability to identify discrepancies and provide practical technical solutions.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Proactive, solution-focused approach to delivery.

Responsibilities

• Setting out, levelling and surveying sites to support foundations, drainage and roads.
• Using robotic total stations, EDM and GPS/GNSS to establish accurate site positions.
• Producing topographical surveys and as-built drawings for comparison against designs.
• Reviewing drawings and quantities to identify discrepancies.
• Providing technical guidance to site managers and subcontractors.
• Maintaining project records and reports; managing multiple developments.
• Supporting health and safety requirements across site activities.
