Job summary

Ignite Talent Group Ltd is seeking a Technical Engineer for residential housebuilding in Leeds. You will support infrastructure and technical matters from feasibility through to site delivery, coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders.

The role involves managing infrastructure requirements, reviewing agreements, and ensuring compliance with planning approvals, CDM regulations, and technical standards.

Qualifications

• Experience within residential housebuilding or property development.
• Experience managing infrastructure, utilities or technical requirements across developments.
• Knowledge of utility providers, industry procedures and relevant legislation.
• Understanding CDM Regulations.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent organisation and coordination abilities.
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach.
• The ability to negotiate, influence and build strong working relationships.

Responsibilities

• Managing infrastructure requirements from feasibility through to site delivery.
• Coordinating technical information, approvals, quotations and service connections.
• Liaising with utility providers, consultants, local authorities, highways, environmental agencies and warranty providers.
• Supporting the appointment and management of external consultants and service providers.
• Reviewing legal agreements, easements and utility documentation alongside external legal teams.
• Attending weekly pre-start, site and project review meetings.
• Ensuring technical drawings and information are distributed accurately and on time.
• Providing technical support and practical problem-solving across Construction, Commercial and Sales teams.
• Assisting with feasibility studies and providing advice on utility and infrastructure costs.
• Supporting the delivery of projects in line with programme, budget, planning approvals and technical standards.
• Supporting compliance with CDM Regulations and wider health and safety requirements.
