MV Kelly Limited is seeking an experienced setting out Engineer to join our residential groundworks teams in the uk. You will ensure drawings, coordinates and setting-out data are accurate on site, manage multiple sites and coordinate with the contracts manager and client engineer.

The role requires AutoCAD familiarity, a full UK driving licence, strong numerical ability, high accuracy, and outstanding organisation. You will maintain records and support site teams to deliver on-time progress.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in setting out for residential groundworks (roads and sewers).
• Managed multiple sites.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• AutoCAD experience and full understanding.
• Excellent reasoning and number ability.
• Work with a high degree of accuracy.
• Highly organised.
• Ability to prioritise and cope well under pressure.
• Reliable and self-motivated.

Aufgaben

• Ensure latest drawings and details are used and liaise with MVK Contracts Manager/Technical Department, Foreman and client engineer.
• Check drawings and information; coordinate on drawings and on site.
• Liaise with Technical Department, project manager and contracts manager regarding discrepancies.
• Maintain calibration regime for instruments and ensure accuracy on site.
• Complete necessary paperwork and self-checks.
• Monitor sites for setting out requirements and allocate resources to sites.
• Ensure setting out is checked and free of client-originated errors.
• Use CAD drawings with caution; rely on provided coordinates.
• Familiarise with construction details to advise site staff.
• Consider all information before setting out (site layouts, foundations, etc.).
• Maintain adequate records for future reference.
• Coordinate resources with other engineers to optimise time use.
• Liaise with client engineer to build good communications.
• Review pre-site start minutes or periodic notes and inform project manager of costs when necessary.
• Feed back health & safety issues/concerns.
• Support health & safety tasks and preparation of method statements & risk assessments.
