Job summary

Barchester Healthcare is seeking a Residential Senior Carer to lead a care team in a residential home, ensuring high-quality, person-centred care. You will train staff, supervise shifts, and delegate duties while supporting medication administration and care plan reviews.

Liaison with GPs, district nurses and families is essential to coordinate resident care. The role requires NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, prior residential care experience, and demonstrated leadership.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care required for Residential Senior Care Assistant.
• Previous experience in a residential care setting is essential.
• Proven team leadership skills and the ability to make appropriate decisions for residents’ wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of care staff with training, supervisions and shift delegation.
• Assist with administering and ordering medication and updating care plans and risk assessments.
• Liaise with GPs, district nurses and residents' families to coordinate care.
