Job summary

Barchester Healthcare is seeking a Residential Senior Carer to lead a team in our care home on day shifts, 38.5 hours per week.

You will oversee training, supervise staff on shift, and assist with medication administration, care plan reviews, risk assessments, and liaison with GPs and families. Ideal candidates hold NVQ Level 3 or equivalent and have residential care experience with a passion for person-centred care.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care.
• Experience in a residential care setting.
• Strong leadership and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of care staff on shift; provide training and supervision.
• Oversee medication administration and ordering.
• Review and update resident care plans and risk assessments.
• Liaise with GPs, district nursing teams and resident families.
