Jasmine Healthcare is seeking a Senior Care Assistant for night shifts at St Andrew’s Nursing & Care Home in Sleaford. The role runs 7pm–7am with a pattern of 3 shifts one week and 4 the next, including alternate weekends, and requires delivering high-quality resident care.

We offer a £750 sign-on bonus (paid after three months), a competitive hourly rate of £16.31, with £15.31ph for workers aged 21 and younger, plus benefits and career development opportunities.

Qualificações

• Qualified professional (RN or NVQ/Diploma Level 3 in Health and Social Care) required.
• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Care Assistant in residential/nursing home.
• Knowledge of person-centred care planning principles.
• Understanding of abuse prevention and procedures for allegations.
• Must reside within 30 minutes of the home.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Leadership and people skills.
• Caring and nurturing attitude.
• Positive and enthusiastic outlook.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Provide high levels of care and assist residents in all daily living activities.
• Promote resident independence with a focus on dignity and well-being; participate in shift handovers.
• Lead shifts to maintain high standards and support team members.
• Complete daily medication rounds and maintain accurate documentation and charts.
• Promote best practices and conduct one-to-ones for care staff every two months; investigate complaints as directed by the Home Manager.

About St Andrew’s Nursing & Care Home

St Andrew’s is located in the lovely village of Ewerby (5 miles to the East of Sleaford).The home is set around a lovely old vicarage, which has been selectively extended in keeping with its character.This provides the homeliness that Jasmine seeks for its homes, whilst still providing modern living accommodation.The home provides personal care, including nursing and dementia care, for 42 residents.

Role Responsibilities as aSeniorCare Assistant

• Providingthe highest possible levels of care in supporting andassistingour residents in all aspects of daily living.
• Responsibilityfor promoting our resident’s independence with a focus on choice,dignityand respect, alongside promoting their physical and emotional wellbeing and to give input during shift handovers.
• Leadingyour shift to ensurehigh standardsaremaintained, and other members of the team feel supported.
• Completingthe daily medication rounds and document consistently without errors or any issues beingpicked up onthe medication audits, ensuring the daily charts are completed to a high standard by all team members on all shiftsyou’llbe responsible forleading.
• Promotinggood practice in all aspects of care, and challenge poor practise from other team member. ensure one to ones for all care and support team members are done every two months and investigate complaints and concerns as directed by the Home Manager.

Role Requirements as aSeniorCare Assistant

• Relevant Professional qualification (e.g., Registered Nurse or NVQ/Diploma minimum level 3 in Health and Social Care).
• Minimum of two years’ experience as a Care Assistant in residential / nursing home setting.
• Awareness of the principles of Person-Centred Care Planning.
• Understanding of the prevention of abuse of vulnerable adults, recognition of the signs of abuse and procedures to followin the event ofan allegation of abuse.
• Residewithin 30 minutes of the Home.
• Ability to work under pressure.

• Positive and enthusiastic outlook.
