Jasmine Healthcare is seeking a Housekeeping Assistant for their residential care home in a mission-driven environment. You will keep bedrooms and shared spaces impeccably clean, support laundry duties, and participate in training to maintain high care standards.

The role requires flexibility, strong communication, and a team-oriented approach, with shifts between 08:00 and 18:00 and a expectation to cover alternate weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the highest levels of cleanliness in bedrooms and public areas.

• Keep mandatory training up to date, including Infection Control and Health & Safety.
• Support housekeeping shifts and ensure smooth running.
• Keep Housekeeper informed of major developments and issues.

Hours: Full Time Permanent Contract, 4-5 shifts a week, alternate weekends, variety of shift patterns between 08:00 & 18:00

About St Andrew’s Nursing and Care Home

St Andrew’s is located in the lovely village of Ewerby (5 miles to the East of Sleaford). The home is set around a lovely old vicarage, which has been selectively extended in keeping with its character. This provides the homeliness that Jasmine seeks for its homes, whilst still providing modern living accommodation. The home provides personal care, including nursing and dementia care, for 42 residents.

Role Responsibilities for Housekeeping Assistant:

• As a Housekeeping Assistant you will joining our team to maintain the highest levels of cleanliness in bedrooms and public areas within the Home. You will also be responsible for the wash, dry, iron and put away or laundry, including returning clothing to resident’s bedrooms.
• You will keep all mandatory training up to date and complete additional training as required, including Infection Control, Manual Handling and Health & Safety
• Support our Team Members in the smooth running of housekeeping shifts.
• Ensure the Housekeeper is kept fully informed of all major developments (i.e. team issues, complaints, inspections) always.
• To be aware of Jasmine Healthcare’s philosophy and to contribute ideas to improve the standard of care provided.
