Job summary

Confidential is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant/Paralegal/Conveyancer to join their residential conveyancing team in Barnet. The role offers flexibility with part-time or full-time hours and a salary of £30,000–£35,000.

The successful candidate will have residential conveyancing experience, strong client communication skills, and the ability to handle sale and purchase transactions across freehold and leasehold properties. Office-based role with opportunities for flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Proven residential conveyancing experience.
• Strong communication with clients and stakeholders.
• Experience in both freehold and leasehold sales and purchases.

Responsibilities

• Providing proactive communication to keep clients, third parties, partners, and other conveyancers updated on progress.
• Assisting fee earners/solicitors in managing their caseloads effectively.
• Liaising with clients, estate agents, and other professionals to facilitate smooth transactions.
• Setting up and closing files with precision and attention to detail.
• Handling interactions with Land Registry, mortgage lenders, and search providers.
• Preparing and issuing client care letters and contract packs.
• Assisting with completions and managing post-completion matters.
• Meeting clients to conduct initial ID checks.
• Managing a caseload of sale and purchase transactions efficiently.
