Berwins Solicitors in Harrogate town centre is looking for a Conveyancing Assistant (Residential) to support lawyers and manage case files from start to finish.

The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm with flexi time, offering 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, a pension scheme and health cashback. You will handle client communications and liaise with agents and lenders while using Leap case management software.

Qualifications

• Experience handling conveyancing transactions from start to finish.
• Experience using a conveyancing case management system.
• Proficient with MS Office.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Able to work effectively in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist lawyers and manage case files to ensure progress.
• Administer day-to-day case file tasks and client updates.
• Handle client communications via phone and email.
• Liaise with Estate Agents, Mortgage Brokers and Lenders.
• Prepare SDLT returns and related documents.
• Use MS Office and Leap for case management.
• Draft simple legal documents under supervision.
• Perform general office duties.
