Residential Conveyancer / Residential Property Locum

The Role

As a Residential Conveyancing Locum, you will support a well-established legal practice in Lancashire by managing a residential property caseload during a period of increased workload and ongoing team requirements. The successful candidate will be able to hit the ground running and provide high-quality conveyancing support from the outset.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing a residential conveyancing caseload from instruction through to completion
• Handling freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
• Reviewing contracts, title documents and property searches
• Raising and responding to enquiries
• Liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders and third-party solicitors
• Managing exchange, completion and post-completion matters

Skills & Experience Required

Essential:

• Previous experience handling a residential conveyancing caseload with minimal supervision
• Strong knowledge of the conveyancing process from instruction to completion
• Excellent communication and client care skills
• Ability to manage a busy caseload and work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Desirable:

• Qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, Legal Executive or experienced Conveyancing Fee Earner
• Previous locum or interim experience
• Familiarity with case management systems and remote working
