Job summary

AIM Recruitment UK Limited in Wirral is seeking a Residential Children's Worker to support young people in daily life and care plans, in a nurturing and protective environment. You will join a dedicated team to help residents achieve positive outcomes and comply with all policies and statutory requirements.

The role involves shift work within the home’s rota, fostering safety and development for young people in care, with opportunities to learn and grow in a supportive setting.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving licence required.
• Good communication and listening skills.
• The ability to work well under pressure.
• Able to adapt well to challenging and changing situations.

Responsibilities

• Support young people to live their day-to-day lives.
• Provide a caring, supportive and nurturing environment where children/young people feel secure and safe.
• Work with the home’s young people to ensure care plans are followed.
• Collaborate with a committed team and registered manager to achieve the best outcomes for the home’s young people.
• Ensure the company’s policies, procedures and statutory requirements are followed.
• Be available to work shifts within the home’s rota.

This is a great opportunity to get started in an exciting new role as a residential childrens worker supporting young people with their day-to-day lives, with the opportunity to learn and develop new skills.

Job Role

• Supporting young people to live their day-to-day lives.
• Provide a caring, supportive and nurturing environment in which children/young people can feel secure and free from harm.
• Working with the homes young people to ensure their care plans are followed.
• Working alongside a committed team and registered manager to bring the best possible outcomes for the homes young people.
• Ensuring the companys policies, procedures, and statutory requirements are followed.
• Availability to work shifts within the homes rota.

Requirements

• Full UK Driving licence.
• Previous experience desired but not essential.
• Good communication and listening skills
• The ability to work well under pressure
• To be able to adapt well to challenging and changing situations.
