Job summary

Aim Recruitment is seeking a Residential Childrens Worker for a client in Moorcroft, Stoke-on‑Trent. You will support young people with daily living activities and help create a caring, secure environment where they can feel safe and supported.

Works with the home’s therapeutic team to follow care plans and achieve positive outcomes while adhering to company policies and statutory requirements. Shift flexibility is required to cover rota needs.

Qualifications

  • Full UK driving licence is required.
  • Experience is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong communication and listening skills are essential.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing situations.

Responsibilities

  • Support young people in daily living activities.
  • Provide a caring, supportive, and nurturing environment for children/young people.
  • Ensure care plans are followed with the home’s young people.
  • Work with a range of professionals including the therapeutic team at the home.
  • Collaborate with a committed team and registered manager to achieve best outcomes.
  • Ensure policies, procedures, and statutory requirements are followed.
  • Be available to work shifts within the home’s rota.

About the job Residential Children's Worker

Aim Recruitment is recruiting for a Residential Childrens worker for our client based in Moorcroft, Stoke-on-Trent.

This is a great opportunity to get started in an exciting new role as a residential childrens worker supporting young people with their day-to-day lives, with the opportunity to learn and develop new skills.

Job Role
  • Supporting young people to live their day-to-day lives.
  • Provide a caring, supportive and nurturing environment in which children/young people can feel secure and free from harm.
  • Working with the homes young people to ensure their care plans are followed.
  • Caring for Young people with a wide variety of needs who may have experienced high levels of trauma.
  • This role is very diverse, working in conjunction with a wide range of professionals including the independent therapeutic team at the home.
  • Working alongside a committed team and registered manager to bring the best possible outcomes for the homes young people.
  • Ensuring the companys policies, procedures, and statutory requirements are followed.
  • Availability to work shifts within the homes rota.
Requirements
  • Full UK Driving licence.
  • Previous experience desired but not essential.
  • Good communication and listening skills
  • The ability to work well under pressure
  • To be able to adapt well to challenging and changing situations.
