Job summary

Unite Group, through Unite Students, is looking for a Student Safety Team Member to create a welcoming and safe environment for residents and visitors in Manchester. You will be the friendly face in the building, supporting residents with enquiries, check-ins and day-to-day needs while helping maintain a vibrant student community.

The role focuses on delivering a high-quality resident experience, carrying out safety checks, responding to issues and supporting events as part of the property team.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service, hospitality, retail or residential environment.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive, organized and able to work in a busy, varied environment.
• Confident handling enquiries, complaints and resident requests.
• Experience in student accommodation, hospitality or residential environments would be beneficial but isn't essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, face-to-face customer service to residents and visitors, responding to enquiries and resolving issues.
• Support the full resident journey, including check-ins, check-outs and day-to-day resident support.
• Deliver property viewings and support bookings, helping drive occupancy and retention.
• Support resident engagement activities, helping create a welcoming and vibrant community.
• Respond to maintenance issues, making safe where required and raising requests for resolution.
• Carry out building checks and support safety procedures, ensuring the property remains safe and compliant.
• Support emergency response procedures when required.
• Maintain high property standards, ensuring communal areas are clean, safe and well presented.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
• Record enquiries, cases and operational issues accurately within internal systems.
