Job summary

Skilled Careers is recruiting a Resident Liaison Officer for a social housing refurbishment and planned maintenance programme in the Basingstoke and Farnborough area. You will serve as the main contact for residents, coordinating access, communicating progress and handling enquiries to ensure smooth on-site delivery.

The role requires experience in social housing or Decent Homes, excellent communication, and a proactive approach to resident welfare.

Qualifications

• Experience as Resident Liaison Officer within social housing, housing associations or Decent Homes environment.
• Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with residents, clients and teams.
• Experience coordinating access and communicating planned works.
• Proven ability to support residents during refurbishment projects.

Responsibilities

• Act as main point of contact for residents during planned maintenance and refurbishment works.
• Build positive relationships with residents, housing association representatives and site teams.
• Keep residents informed of upcoming works, progress and disruptions.
• Coordinate property access arrangements and resident appointments.
• Manage resident enquiries, complaints and concerns professionally.
• Conduct resident visits, consultations and pre-start meetings where required.
• Support vulnerable residents and consider individual needs during works.
• Prepare and distribute resident communications, newsletters and project updates.
• Liaise with Site Managers, subcontractors and teams to minimise disruption.
• Maintain accurate records of resident interactions, appointments and complaints.
• Monitor resident satisfaction and assist in resolving issues.
• Ensure clear communication between residents, contractors and housing association.
• Support delivery of works across occupied properties.
