Job summary

Equans is recruiting a Resident Liaison Officer to join our team in Stevenage, supporting refurbishment and retrofit works on social housing schemes. You will be the main point of contact for residents, ensuring they are informed, respected and supported throughout the programme.

The role focuses on clear communications, liaison with contractors, and coordinating resident engagement activities while safeguarding residents and maintaining a positive on-site image.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Resident Liaison Officer or similar role in housing, refurbishment or social housing.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organised and able to manage workload independently.
• Full UK driving licence preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for residents affected by planned works on site.
• Deliver clear, timely communications before, during, and after works.
• Liaise with internal teams, contractors and external stakeholders to ensure access, scheduling and programme information is shared appropriately.
• Coordinate resident engagement activities including letters, information packs, satisfaction surveys, and feedback follow-ups.
• Log, monitor and help resolve resident concerns, queries and complaints.
• Maintain accurate records of visits, contact, access issues and resolutions.
• Work closely with site management to minimise disruption and escalate issues where necessary.
• Identify and support vulnerable residents, ensuring safeguarding procedures are followed.
• Contribute to the positive image of Equans on site and in the wider community.
