Job summary

Daniel Owen Ltd is seeking an experienced Resident Engagement Officer to join a housing-focused organisation in Greater Manchester. The role is a 12-month contract based in Stockport, working 37 hours per week from Monday to Friday.

You will plan and coordinate engagement activities, build strong relationships with residents and partner organisations, and encourage participation from diverse communities. Strong communication and analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in tenant, resident, customer or community engagement.
• Knowledge of the social housing sector and relevant consumer standards.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to analyse feedback and communicate findings clearly.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate customer and community engagement activities.
• Build positive relationships with residents, community groups and partner organisations.
• Encourage participation from individuals and groups who are less likely to engage.
• Gather, review and summarise customer feedback; identify trends and provide insights to internal teams.
• Support resident-led groups and community initiatives.
• Prepare accessible communications for different audiences.
• Coordinate several engagement projects and activities at the same time.
• Promote inclusive participation across all areas of work.
