Job summary

East Suffolk Council in Lowestoft is seeking a Resident Liaison Officer to support the Warm Homes Wave 3 delivery. You will be the main contact for residents, coordinate access, and work with contractors and retrofit assessors to deliver energy efficiency works while keeping thorough records.

Applicants should have customer-facing experience, strong communication, and good IT skills. A full UK driving licence is required and some flexibility for occasional after-hours meetings may be needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-facing role, ideally within housing or construction.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to engage with residents and stakeholders and manage challenging situations professionally.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to work independently and maintain accurate records.
• Good IT skills and attention to detail.
• GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and mathematics.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Attend resident meetings as required that could be outside normal working hours.

Responsibilities

• Be the main point of contact for residents during energy efficiency works.
• Coordinate property access and liaise between residents, contractors and retrofit assessors.
• Maintain accurate records and audit trails of activities and engagements.
• Engage with residents to overcome barriers to access and ensure a positive customer experience.
