Job summary

HC-One in Newcastle upon Tyne is seeking an Activities Co-ordinator for a 32-hour per week, full-time role across our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes.

You will plan and implement activities, assist the Home Manager with fundraising, help residents engage socially, and bring energy, planning and IT skills. Successful candidates will demonstrate kindness and safeguarding awareness.

Qualifications

• Background working with vulnerable individuals, ideally developing activity programmes.
• Strong planning and organisational abilities.
• Safeguarding training appropriate to the role.
• Capability to communicate kindly with residents and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement activities that delight residents.
• Help Home Manager organise fundraising events.
• Encourage residents to socialise and participate in activities.
• Engage the care home team in activities and ideas.
