Job summary

Valor Hotels is seeking a Reservations and Events Manager to join our team in the UK. The role focuses on maximizing enquiry conversion, managing the reservations process, and delivering exceptional events that exceed client expectations.

You will operate reservation systems, apply pricing strategies, conduct showrounds, and work with Revenue and Sales Managers while ensuring compliance and high service standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in reservations, events management, or a similar role.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
• Knowledge of revenue management and pricing strategies.
• Ability to analyze market data and competitor information.
• Experience in the hotel or hospitality industry preferred.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure business on the books is robust and accurate by following company processes.
• Operate reservation systems to required standards set by Valor and the brand.
• Implement pricing and selling strategies for all market segments to meet budgets and targets.
• Maintain up-to-date competitor information and visit competitor hotels to gather insights.
• Conduct appointments and showrounds to highlight the hotel's features and services to potential clients.
• Be commercially aware, considering total revenue and lifetime value when assessing new enquiries.
• Comply with all statutory and company requirements related to cash handling, credit procedures, Health and Safety, and related policies.
