About the Role

Our client, a leading hotel in the vibrant business district of Randburg, Gauteng , is seeking a strategic and analytical Reservations and Revenue Manager. This key role is responsible for maximizing revenue and optimizing occupancy through effective reservation management, dynamic pricing strategies, and insightful market analysis. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the hospitality market, excellent forecasting abilities, and proficiency with revenue management systems. You will work closely with the sales, marketing, and operations teams to ensure that our client's pricing and inventory strategies align with overall business objectives and market demand in the competitive Randburg landscape. Your expertise will be crucial in driving profitability and maintaining a strong market position for our client.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement effective revenue management strategies to maximize room revenue and achieve financial targets.
• Monitor market trends, competitor pricing, and demand forecasts to adjust pricing and inventory strategies accordingly.
• Manage the reservations department, ensuring efficient handling of all bookings and inquiries.
• Utilize revenue management systems to analyze data, identify opportunities, and optimize pricing.

• Prepare regular reports on occupancy, revenue, and key performance indicators.
• Oversee the yield management process to ensure optimal pricing and availability across all channels.

• Maintain strong relationships with online travel agencies (OTAs) and other distribution partners.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in revenue management or reservations management within the hotel industry.
• Proven track record of successfully implementing revenue management strategies and achieving targets.
• Proficiency with hotel revenue management systems (e.g., IDeaS, Duetto) and PMS.
• Strong analytical, forecasting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent understanding of the principles of yield management and dynamic pricing.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be based in or willing to relocate to Randburg, Gauteng .
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software.
