About the Role

Our client, a premier hotel located in the bustling business district of Randburg, Gauteng , is seeking a driven and experienced Sales Manager to lead their sales efforts. This role is responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans to attract and secure corporate, leisure, and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) business. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the hospitality sales landscape, excellent negotiation skills, and a proven ability to build and maintain lasting client relationships. You will play a key role in driving revenue growth and enhancing the hotel's market position.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue targets for rooms, banqueting, and events.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within corporate, leisure, and MICE segments.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, travel agents, and corporate accounts.
• Conduct client presentations, site inspections, and negotiations.
• Prepare sales proposals, contracts, and reports.
• Collaborate with marketing teams to develop promotional campaigns and collateral.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify new opportunities.
• Manage the sales budget and ensure efficient resource allocation.
• Represent the hotel at industry trade shows and networking events.
• Lead and mentor the sales team, fostering a performance-driven culture.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in hospitality sales, with at least 2 years in a management or supervisory role.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets in the hotel industry.
• Excellent knowledge of the local market, including corporate clients and event organizers in Randburg and surrounding Gauteng areas.
• Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in CRM systems and sales management software.
• A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or Hospitality Management is preferred.
