Reservationist (Booker)

If you understand the importance of the perfect guest journey – we are searching for a Reservationist (Booker) to join our team at Chateau Denmark. The role operates from a simple sentiment - you never get a second chance at a first impression. A statement, never truer than in hospitality and Chateau Denmark’s guest experience will define the entire neighbourhood.

Purpose

As a Reservationist (Booker), you’ll have a natural passion and desire to deliver the best possible guest journey and experience and connection between our guests and Chateau Denmark. With the ability to multi-task aligned with a fierce desire to develop, you will be absorbing knowledge on an ongoing basis from your workplace, the wider Outernet district, and the community.

As a highly valued team member, you’ll be a key part of the guest experience, helping define and articulate it from arrival to departure. Bringing an unparalleled level of service, you’ll work closely with colleagues embodying a no half measures attitude.

Reservationist Profile

1. Exceptional attention to detail.
2. The ability and drive to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
3. Being organised and proactive in managing tasks.
4. Passionate for creating exceptional guest experiences.
5. Being an excellent team player, and having outstanding communication and guest-facing skills.
6. Relevant experience in a 5-star property.
7. Knowledge of reservations systems desirable.
8. Excellent IT skills and numeracy.
9. A professional and welcoming telephone manner.

Reservationist Duties

1. Managing telephone and email enquiries in a professional & timely manner.
2. Managing group reservations as per company’s guidelines.
3. Ensuring reservations are taken accurately with a high level of detail.
4. Daily arrivals and reconfirming reservations.
5. Maximising room revenue sales according to the company strategy.
6. Managing guaranteed bookings, no-show and late cancellation charges where applicable.
7. Identify sales leads and understand selling trends in the market.
8. Maintain daily effective communications with other departments to ensure all requirements are dealt with efficiently.
9. To perform as part of a team, assisting other departments where necessary and carrying out appropriate duties as requested by management.
