Job summary

Dogs4Rescue in the United Kingdom is seeking a practical, hands-on Site Maintenance & Facilities Operative to help keep kennels and dog living areas safe and welcoming. You will work across our Irlam and Accrington sites, performing outdoor maintenance and joinery projects that enhance the wellbeing of rescue dogs.

You will manage multiple tasks, follow health and safety practices, and record work in our systems, with a focus on quality, safety and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Good all-round maintenance, repair and DIY skills.
• Experience of fencing, joinery, carpentry or construction work.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload, prioritise and multitask.
• Proactive problem solving and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain fencing, gates and site security.
• Carry out joinery and carpentry projects, including pods, shelters and outdoor structures.
• Perform general repairs and site maintenance.
• Assist with improvements to rescue facilities and dog living areas.
• Liaise with manager before starting works, agree solution, timescales and budget.
