Job summary

Hatched Recruitment Group is seeking a reliable Caretaker to join a site in Derby. The role involves cleaning, upkeep and routine maintenance, with duties including litter picking, minor repairs and PM tasks. The position is 8:00am–4:00pm, Monday to Friday, with weekly pay and Enhanced DBS required.

You should have a good health and safety awareness, be able to work independently, and communicate clearly with site teams. Previous caretaker or facilities experience is beneficial.

• Good practical maintenance skills.

Responsibilities

• General cleaning and upkeep of the site.
• Litter picking and ensuring external areas are kept clean and tidy.
• Carrying out general maintenance and minor repairs.
• Completing planned maintenance (PM) tasks.
• Water flushing and routine inspections.
• Carrying out fire alarm testing.
• Ensuring the site is safe, clean and presentable.
• Opening and locking the site for lettings.
• Reporting any maintenance or safety issues.
• Working independently and managing day-to-day site duties.
