Job summary

Manpower UK is seeking a proactive Facilities Manager to maintain day-to-day operations across site facilities, ensuring safety, compliance, and efficient service delivery. You will coordinate maintenance, manage contractors, and uphold audit-ready records while supporting budgets and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a facilities management or building services role.
• Strong knowledge of UK health and safety requirements.
• Experience managing contractors and service providers.
• Knowledge of building systems and maintenance practices (HVAC, electrical, plumbing).
• Ability to prioritise workload and meet service levels.
• Attention to detail with audit-ready records.
• Excellent communication with stakeholders at all levels.
• Competent IT skills for records management.
• Relevant qualification in FM or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Desirable IOSH/NEBOSH health and safety certifications.
• Experience with risk assessments and inspection routines.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day facilities operations to ensure site runs smoothly.
• Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance and resolve issues promptly.
• Ensure compliance with UK health and safety regulations and internal policies.
• Maintain records for inspections, risk assessments, and compliance documentation.
• Manage relationships with contractors and suppliers, including work orders and performance monitoring.
• Assist budgeting and cost control for facilities activities.
• Conduct site inspections and audits to identify risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality and efficiency.
• Ensure facilities systems are maintained per manufacturer guidance and schedules.
• Respond to emergencies and incidents per agreed procedures.
