Southampton City Council is seeking an experienced Repairs Manager to lead the Responsive Repairs team within Housing Works, overseeing repairs and maintenance to over 16,000 council-owned properties across the city.

The role requires strong people management, stakeholder liaison with residents, councillors and suppliers, and a hands-on approach to ensure timely, compliant work while maintaining high service standards.

Competenze

• CDM, HHSRS and Awaab’s Law knowledge and health and safety regulations are required.
• Relevant management qualification in construction, housing or property maintenance or equivalent experience.
• Full UK driving licence and DBS check.

Mansioni

• Lead a multi-trade team to deliver repairs and maintenance across 16,000+ council properties.
• Oversee trade diaries, allocate resources and respond to tenant queries.
• Manage budgets, forecasting, and KPI performance; ensure quality and safety standards.
• Coordinate with contractors and sub-contractors and other teams to meet deadlines.
• Ensure health, safety and welfare of staff and customers on site.
• Carry out quality checks and site inspections.
