Job summary

Amplius in Milton Keynes is seeking a Repairs Surveyor to inspect customers' homes, identify defects and recommend solutions through to completion.

In this permanent, full-time hybrid role, you'll review complaints, produce clear reports, monitor KPIs, and coordinate with the Customer Service Team and Property Services Management across local properties. DBS and a UK driving licence are required, and sponsorship is not provided.

Qualifications

• Building-related qualification or relevant experience.
• Level 3 QCF Housing Management qualification (or willingness to work towards).
• Good working knowledge of buildings, defects, housing repairs and maintenance.
• Experience identifying property defects and carrying out surveys/inspections.
• Strong written and verbal communication with customer-focused service.

Responsibilities

• Survey customers' homes and identify defects, recommending solutions through to completion.
• Review and respond to customer complaints, ensuring commitments are met and issues resolved.
• Produce clear written reports following inspections to support decisions and repair outcomes.
• Monitor repair performance against KPIs (first-time fix rates, customer satisfaction, job completion times).
• Inspect completed works to check quality, meeting health and safety standards and internal policies.
• Manage a portfolio of homes, coordinating with customers, Customer Service Team and Property Services Management, including out-of-hours callouts.
