Job summary

North Northamptonshire Council is seeking a Repairs Officer Team Leader to oversee day-to-day repairs and maintenance operations, including void surveys, site safety visits and snagging. You will line-manage trades, ensure compliance and deliver a cost-effective service to tenants and the community.

This role requires solid experience in supervising trades, planning workloads, maintaining H&S procedures, and reporting to the Team Leader.

Qualifications

5 years experience in repairs and maintenance supervisory roles.
Experience conducting void surveys, site safety visits and snagging.

Responsibilities

Carrying out void surveys for specification, site safety visits, work in progress visits, snagging & post inspections.
Provide effective line management to Trades, Gas/Electrical, Planned Maintenance, compliance and Business Support functions.
Ensure financial compliance with council procedures.
Maintain work procedures and systems for an efficient repairs service.
Coordinate service area responsibilities across work areas to meet expectations.
Plan workload and develop systems of work.
Create, review and update health and safety policies in conjunction with the H&S team.
Provide professional advice to maintain compliance with health and safety, building and environmental legislation.
Maintain relationships with partner services, elected members and tenants.
Hold regular staff meetings and maintain standard management procedures.
