Job summary

North Devon Homes is seeking a proactive Maintenance Team Leader to supervise day-to-day investment delivery activities within the Asset Management team. The role ensures works are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard, with on-site leadership and a focus on continuous service improvements.

You will oversee inspections, coordinate with contractors, and mentor staff while supporting procurement, stock control, and customer-focused service delivery. A DBS check may be required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading maintenance teams and delivering repairs safely and to high standards.
• Strong understanding of health and safety legislation and site compliance.
• Experience managing kitchen, bathroom and wet room installations, plus roofing/windows/doors programmes.

Responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance activities to meet time and cost targets.
• Lead on-site health and safety and wellbeing of staff, contractors, and customers.
• Conduct site inspections and surveys to uphold high safety and quality standards.
• Manage internal and external contractors and coordinate works with external teams.
• Mentor and develop team members to strengthen resilience and capability.
• Oversee procurement and stock control to ensure value for money.
• Liaise with colleagues, contractors, and customers to deliver a customer-centric service.
