Job summary

North Northamptonshire Council is seeking an experienced Repairs Officer to support the delivery of a responsive repairs and maintenance service across its housing portfolio.

Working within the Repairs & Maintenance Team, you will oversee day-to-day repairs operations, supervise trades operatives and contractors, carry out pre and post inspections, and ensure works are completed safely and in line with statutory requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience within repairs, maintenance, housing, or construction services.
• Knowledge of responsive repairs, void management, and contractor supervision.
• Understanding of health and safety legislation and compliance requirements.
• Experience managing operational teams and workloads.
• Strong communication, organisational, and IT skills.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
